Gamma Eta Sorority, Inc. opens new alumnae chapter Alpha Chi Zeta

The new chapter was inducted with 7 members.

Gainesville, FL (March 2, 2016) – Gamma Eta Sorority, Inc. has announced the addition of its new alumnae chapter Alpha Chi Zeta (AXZ) today.

Claudia Reyes-Rios, Alpha chapter (Fall 2012), has been named AXZ’s president and will be leading the group’s efforts to provide alumnae support to its local chapter. Beatriz Hernandez, Alpha chapter (Fall 2009), will be managing the chapter’s finances as AXZ’s treasurer. The chapter’s inaugural class consists of the following sisters:

· Lucia Curihuaman, Alpha chapter (Fall 2012)
· Adriany (Any) Hughes, Alpha chapter (Fall 2012)
· Kaitlyn Hosticka, Alpha chapter (Fall 2012)
· Jennifer Garcia, Alpha chapter (Fall 2011)
· Rebecca Knowles, Beta chapter (Fall 2012)

AXZ will work alongside Gamma Eta’s other alumni chapters Alpha Chi Alpha (AXA), located in South Florida and Alpha Chi Delta (AXD), located in Northern Arkansas, to provide a support network for undergraduate chapters.

“I’m happy we could finally make this happen,” Reyes-Rios said. “There are so many opportunities to get involved with our local chapter and community, and we’re excited to get started.”
