Gamma Eta Sorority’s National Executive Council would like to clarify to sisters the changes made in the “Region Director Necessities” proposal created in 2018 that has passed through the organization’s voting process.  

This proposal impacts the National Constitution by adding an amendment. The purpose is to provide more direction on the role of a Region Director. The Sisterhood previously utilized Region 1 and Region 4 but the NEC instead chose to have a Chapter Development Director since the sisterhood remains relatively small. Therefore, a Region Director should be activated when there are three or more active chapters within a region. Then they can focus on unifying the sisterhood at the regional and national level, and implement policies and practices unique to the region.
