Leading Revival Efforts: Rebecca Knowles

August 25, 2020

The National Executive Council is pleased to announce that our Director of Ritual Rebecca Knowles will be leading revival efforts for our Delta Chapter at Jacksonville University.

See her first update about the Fall 2020 semester below:

Hi sisters!

Before I get into providing updates about reviving Delta Chapter; I wanted to provide a little background about myself.

My name is Rebecca Knowles, I became a sister in Fall 2012 at Beta Chapter. Not long after I graduated in 2014, my own chapter was in need of revival, so I volunteered to be an Assistant New Member Educator for the revival class, and have been working with Beta Chapter ever since.

With a growing Beta Chapter and Alpha Chi Beta Alumni Chapter in the Jacksonville area, this fall we have decided to put forth efforts to revive Delta chapter at Jacksonville University. The chapter went inactive in 2015 and now that I work for the university and they are looking to diversify their Greek life I am confident we will be able to successfully plant the next generation of flowers and help this chapter flourish.

We currently have a dedicated and diverse team of 18 sisters from various chapters, including alumni and undergrads to assist in efforts. We currently have 2 sisters who are serving as representatives for their respective chapters for the revival project: Halee Harkala and Bella Kitzis. These sisters will relay revival information to Beta Chapter and the AXB alumni chapter. For the fall semester, sister involvement is 100% virtual per Jacksonville University’s COVID reopening plans. We will be hosting a myriad of virtual recruitment events while continuing to build on the interest we currently have. Our plan is to begin new member intake Spring 2021, COVID guidelines pending.
